A NEW WRITING PROJECT FOR UNREPRESENTED GRADUATES OF UK DRAMA SCHOOLS.
Information about applications for the 2019 process will be posted here very soon. Please check back.
ABOUT THE PROJECT.
In 2017 we had an idea, we decided that we wanted to write a play for actors who had graduated without representation, so we opened up applications to all recent graduates from UK drama schools.
We offered to audition everyone who was eligible and provide feedback on their audition so they'd have something tangible to move forward with.
The response was overwhelming, we received 280 applications from all over the UK, we had at least one graduate from every single Federation of Drama Training School, we auditioned 140 people, we recalled 40 and we wrote a play - Comet which was performed at the Pleasance theatre in London for three weeks in Feb - Mar 2018.
We ran workshops for the cast with casting directors from the RSC and the Donmar, and the production was attended by a number of agents, some of whom met the cast prior to performances for general chats.
Every one of the participating actors was offered representation throughout the process.
Please read our blog section for interviews with a number of well respected actors who left drama school without representation.
